Morning roundup: Are you a gaming fan? Then Tombuntu has a decent hands-on guide to PlayDeb, a repository of games software available through GetDeb that is dead easy to install on .deb Linux systems. Google, as ususal, is pushing out new software on an almost daily basis. Yesterday it was the Chrome browser. The search giant also announced updates for both Picasa and Picasa Web Albums. On the hardware front, Via is starting to make good on its promises by releasing an open source Linux “Xorg” driver for its integrated graphics chips. The announcement was made by Via’s open source leader, Harald Welte.
