Amarok 2 edges closer

Tectonic has closed down but now there is a new home for the African open source community. Join us on OpenZA.

Music fans get ready. The Amarok team has released Nujalik, better known as the second beta of Amarok 2.0.

The most significant change in this release is the switch from SQLite to MySQL-embedded as the database backend which is expected to provide much better scanning and searching of your music collection. Other notable changes include the return of incremental scanning, LibriVox support for downloading and listening to public domain audio books and a good handful of stability improvements.
